Rebecca Acen, the dedicated Director of the Aminanara Foundation, has always harbored a deep love for children. Her journey of compassion and service began in her youth, driven by a strong desire to help those in need in any way she could. Growing up in a community where many families struggled below the poverty line, Rebecca witnessed the profound impact of poverty on children’s lives. These experiences inspired her to establish the Aminanara Foundation, aiming to provide children with the education and skills necessary for a brighter future.

Rebecca’s academic pursuits include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kyambogo University, along with certifications in Public Relations and Monitoring and Evaluation from the African Population Institute at Makerere University. These qualifications equip her with the knowledge and skills to lead the foundation effectively, ensuring that every initiative is impactful and sustainable.

A devout Christian, Rebecca views her work with Aminanara as a divine calling. She believes that the foundation is a manifestation of God’s purpose for her life, guiding her to serve children and youth with love, faith, and dedication. Rebecca’s mission is to touch the lives of as many children as possible, offering them hope and the tools to build a successful future.
